This policy explains what data BNBwhitepages collects, how we use it, and what rights you have over your information.
1. Who we are
BNBwhitepages is an independent directory platform connecting hospitality property owners and managers with local service businesses across the United States. We are not affiliated with Airbnb, VRBO, HomeToGo, Expedia Group, or their parent companies.
2. Data we collect
From property hosts and managers
- Name (first and last), email address, and optional phone number provided at account creation
- Property details submitted during onboarding: property type, city, state, zip code, listing URL, property count, and review count
- Guest service needs and preferences you choose to share
From business accounts
- Business name, contact name, and email address provided at account creation
- Service category and primary service area
- Records of which host contacts have been unlocked (for access management and billing)
From public sources
- Publicly available property information indexed from listing platforms (city, property type, approximate review counts)
- This data is already visible to the general public on those platforms
3. How we use your data
- To operate the BNBwhitepages directory and match hospitality hosts with relevant local businesses
- To process payments and manage subscription access
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, contact unlock receipts, support replies)
- To send our newsletter if you subscribe (you may unsubscribe at any time)
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising outside of BNBwhitepages.
4. Who can see your contact information
Contact details (full name, email, phone, listing URL) are only visible to:
- You, when logged in to your own account
- Business account holders who have paid to unlock your specific contact ($1.99 per contact or via monthly subscription)
- BNBwhitepages staff, for support and verification purposes only
Basic profile information (first name, last initial, city, property type, review count) is visible to all visitors, including logged-out users.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal or billing purposes.
Property data indexed from public sources may remain in our database after removal of your listing. We will delist it from public search results upon a verified removal request.
6. Your rights
- Access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — You can update your information at any time from your account dashboard, or by contacting us.
- Removal — You can request removal of your listing or deletion of your account.
- Portability — You can request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us or use our claim or remove listing form.
7. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate BNBwhitepages:
- Clerk — User authentication and session management
- Stripe / PayPal — Payment processing (we never store raw card data)
- Mailchimp — Newsletter delivery for subscribers who opt in
- Resend — Transactional email delivery
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data needed to provide the service.
